Join us for a very special week in the history of Mazatlán’s food scene! The first ever “Farm To Table Mazatlán” is Monday, Jan. 27 through Sunday, Feb. 2.

For seven days, seven local restaurants will feature special menus sourced from member growers of the Mercado Organico de Mazatlán (MOM), Mazatlán’s only organic farmers market, and other Sinaloa organic growers. Individual restaurants will also present free farmer and winemaker talks, cooking demonstrations and other activities.

The week culminates in an elegant, all-inclusive Gala at a MOM member’s farm with all participating restaurants sharing the cooking and serving. Tickets are on sale now at all participating restaurants and at the Saturday Mercado Organico in Zaragoza Park, Centro Historico, from 8am to noon. Cost is 1,000 pesos per person; space is limited.

Proceeds from the Gala will go to Avicultores Pérez Vidaña, an award-winning non-profit organization in Sinaloa that assists low-income families with severely handicapped children by teaching them to raise chickens and eggs for food, and also to support the Mercado Organico de Mazatlán’s educational programs.
In alphabetical order, the participating restaurants/chefs are:

1.     Diego Becerra, Chef, El Presidio
2.     Marianne Biascotti, Owner, Rico’s
3.     Sarah Emerson & Gabriel Ocamp, Owners, Fresh International Seafood House (F.I.S.H.)
