2013-2014 Cruise Ship Season Comes to an End

With the cancellation of the scheduled arrival of a Celebrity Cruise ship in port on Tuesday, the 2013-2014 cruise ship season which began in November 2013 came to an end. According to port authorities, 17 ships with 30,214 passengers docked in Mazatlán during the season.
Director General of the port, Alfonso Gil Díaz, said at the last minute Celebrity decided to modify its route and instead of Mazatlán, the ship docked in Puerto Vallarta, not an unusual occurrence in the industry he added.
With respect to the 2014-2015 season, Gil Díaz said they continue to hope for a confirmation from the Carnival Cruise Line that Mazatlán will be on its itinerary. (from Noroeste)
